Optis is a typical tech agency, in the sense that their experts prefer code to cameras. They needed to showcase the faces behind the expertise, but their team felt uncomfortable with professional photoshoots. The hurdle was clear: how do you humanise a brand when the employees are camera-shy? They needed a creative solution that felt authentic to their tech-savvy identity without pushing anyone into the spotlight.
Through illustration we could create unique digital personas that were based on photos. We involved the Optis experts to ensure their look not only resembled them, but felt like them. As a result, a wave of spontaneous adoption developed across Slack and social media. The avatars became more than pictures. They served as a "mask" that lowered the barrier for content sharing. It transformed the team into brand ambassadors with serious digital style. Avatars: check, employer branding: triple check!
