Powering Clear Agile Communication

Our client is a global giant in industrial tools and equipment. But even giants can benefit from a hand making their voice heard, especially when navigating a massive Agile transformation. This is the story of how we partnered with one of their departments to set up a multi-channel communications ecosystem and provide it with plenty of content.

The challenge

A few years ago, one of our client's largest departments started an ambitious transition towards an Agile way of working. However, rapid growth alongside this shift led to inconsistent messaging and disorganised information. The challenge was clear: finding a way to keep everyone well-informed, engaged, and enthusiastic about the Agile transition.

Our idea

Our idea was simple, but powerful: bring strategic clarity and structure to their Agile communications through three channels. Our aim was to create a clear, consistent, and engaging communication flow that would guide them through their Agile transformation and bring everyone along for the ride.

Our approach

We kicked things off with in-depth conversations with the Agile experts so we could map out their channels, content, and style. Then, we launched a strategic, multi-channel approach focused on transforming their core internal platforms.

  1. First, we transformed Viva Engage into the go-to source for Agile news, event recaps, and relevant insights. By (re)writing in a clear, energetic tone, we actively drove community engagement through interactive polls and targeted content.
  1. At the same time, we completely restructured and rewrote the matching SharePoint space. We used website copywriting principles to create a well-organised digital library of Agile resources where visitors quickly found the info they needed.
  1. Finally, to ensure all that content reached every employee, we launched an internal newsletter as a strategic driver, spotlighting key content from Viva Engage and SharePoint in a clear, engaging weekly format.

For three years, we helped the department with engaging content and matching visuals to spread the word. And two years in, we even spearheaded a complete overhaul of their SharePoint and newsletter to match their new visual identity.

The end?

This successful Agile communication overhaul marked the first chapter in our growing partnership with this client. This proves that strategic copywriting and communication expertise are essential for any organisation looking for clarity, impact, and lasting success.

But the story was far from over. In fact, our work here led to us helping them with another complex IT-related communication challenge... a challenge we'll dive into in part two!
